Nothing can be as taxing as going through a break up. There are some instances though when break ups can be lifesavers (like when you need to get away from psycho babe).

But if you fell hard and deep for your ex that can be quite a problem. Most people would probably tell you to move on but it’s always easier said than done. Sometimes, the only thing that can ever make you feel better is trying to get your ex girlfriend back.

What can be quite great with the creatures we call women is that they budge easier when it comes to matters of making up after a break up. This is because they usually focus on the relationship that went kaput and all the effort that they have exerted into it.

Therefore, making up won’t be that incredibly hard.

Just like in love, there are different rules involved in making up. The golden rule when it comes to the latter is that one must never try to contact an ex so early on after the break up because this usually gets read as desperation which translates to pathetic.

And your ex may be observing this rule so even if she used to text you every 15 minutes, she’ll probably refrain from sending you a single message on your IM.

However, the first rule when it comes to getting your ex girlfriend back is to be the one to reach out to her. No, I don’t mean that you pay her surprise visits to her office every now and then.

But you need to make your presence still known. Sending her an email once in a while can also do a trick. But keep it simple though. Don’t send her volumes of love letters or else she’ll simply dismiss you as a creeper.

Yes, she may understand that you are free to hook up with other girls now that you’re through but if you are intent on getting her back, make it clear that you haven’t been sleeping around. Going on dates is perfectly fine. Even the goodnight kiss is acceptable, but word will get to her that you spent the night at your date’s pad and that can spell trouble.

Lastly, never forget to greet her during special occasions. Whether it be during the holidays or her birthday, make sure that you send a greeting card.

Sending her a simple birthday card is enough to touch any girl.
