Looking for a Girlfriend

Spending your days and nights alone? Longing to hold and share laughter with someone? Maybe it is time for you to find a girlfriend. Not just any girl, though, she has to be the right girl for you. So, what are the things that you need to do to catch the right girl?

When you get serious about getting a girlfriend, you must, first, look at yourself and determine what type of person you are. You need to ask yourself various questions and learn as much as you can about yourself before trying to find a good match for you. What are your hobbies? Are you a morning person or a night person? What are your pet peeves? How much time do you have to commit to developing a real relationship? By answering these questions you will be able to determine your needs when it comes to a relationship as well as how much you would be willing to sacrifice in order to make a relationship work. If you do not have a good understanding of yourself and your lifestyle, you will just end up wasting your time dating through trial and error. If you take the time to figure out what you are looking for, you can determine where you might have the best luck meeting people that match your qualities.

Second, ask yourself what you want in a girl. Do you want a pretty girl who does not have opinions or one who does? Do you want a girl who is a little conservative or one who is very liberal? It is, of course, important that we are physically attracted to the person we are having a relationship with, but equally important is for her to like the same things you do. Otherwise, you will end up not doing the things you like to do, or she will stop doing the things she likes to do. It is also important that you both agree on how far you want your relationship to go. Is this the forever type or one that will last only as long as you can make it last?

Third, be proactive. Getting a girlfriend means looking around for the right person for you, not just waiting for her to land on your lap. Being proactive also means that you have to be confident enough to take charge when the situation dictates that you be so. Girls, usually, do not like it when they take the lead all the time. You have to do your share, too.

Fourth, high self-esteem is a chick magnet. However, do not go overboard by being overconfident. That is a big turn off for most girls. The world does not revolve around you and your ideas are not the only sound ones. Show your maturity by recognizing her ideas and by compromising.

Take note that although bars and clubs are notorious places for “hooking up,” they are often not the types of places to look for a girl you can truly connect with on an intimate level.

Catching a girl, any girl that is, is easy. Unfortunately, you will realize one day that trial-and-error relationships become exhausting in the long run. On the other hand, catching the right girl for you takes a little effort but the results are definitely worthwhile.
