Let’s face it. White has been the official color of weddings for centuries and well, it’s become pretty boring. Right? After all, is white your favorite color? Then why should you have it splashed all over your own wedding just to be traditional? You want color? Then put it where it counts – your wedding chair covers!

Weddings should be about you. Not a cookie cutter of what a reception hall has to offer, or what a wedding planner wants to offer you. A wedding should be about what you want and what you need. And, if bright orange is your favorite color, or if corduroy is your favorite fabric, then think of a way to incorporate all this into your wedding! How? Start with your wedding chair covers!

Of course, you will have to pool all your creative talents with those of your friends and family, because party stores just aren’t going to have what you want for your unique chair covers. And that’s OK!

Color is in – for everything. Kitchen walls, hats, coats, and… Wedding accessories! If magenta has been your personal color forever, why on earth would you not bring magenta to your wedding? It doesn’t even have to be subtle – it could be all over your reception hall. Your linens, dresses, flowers, and even the frosting on your cake can all be magenta!

Your wedding planner can’t find them you say? Then make them! Chair covers are one of the easiest decorations to make – anyone who push a pedal on a sewing machine can put together a chair cover. To save some money, make only chair backs. These are typically for square back chairs and you have probably seen them mainly used for festive occasions and holiday decorations with pumpkins or snowmen on them.

They can be simple, with material only, or decorated with flowers, initials or even pearls.
